Halloween Week

Last Thursday, Beau and I had our Halloween Party for our MOMS Club. Now looking back, i'm really happy this party was on that day, because we were sick from the following day until now. Since we were all sick for the past week, we didn't get to participate in any other Halloween festivities. That being said, i'm glad i got to dress Beau up for this party. We were looking forward to watching him Trick or Treat. Considering our child knows no strangers, he would have been a hoot to watch this year. At least he doesn't know he missed anything cool! Next year will be a different story..

Since Beau didn't go Trick or Treating this year, our neighbors missed seeing him out. Our neighbors, Tom and Rita, treat Beau and Mia like their own grandchildren. They brought over these treats for them since we didn't make it out on Halloween night. Oh, yes, Mia got her own baggie of doggie treats;)
They are such wonderful neighbors!

Steve wanted to get one last lawn mowing session in before it got too cold. Of course this means Beau rides along! Winter hat and gloves can't stop this boy from helping his daddy out in the yard. It wasn't too cold for the neighbor boy, Johnnie, to hitch a ride either. We are a friendly neighborhood!

These pictures go in progression of how this project went....
Daddy noticed lightbulbs out in the hallway. Daddy got stepstool to change lightbulb. Daddy has helper named Beau. Like father like son! Daddy sticks knife into light socket without turning off fuse or lightswitch. Daddy blows fuse and all lights in front room no longer work. Daddy went up in attic to make sure he didn't catch anything in the attic on fire. Daddy has helper named Beau, who doesn't even turn around to make sure mommy is behind him in case he falls down stairs all the way up to the attic. Mommy stresses out! Daddy and helper check out the attic. Lights still don't work!!

Since daddy was sickest and we were somewhat feeling ok and wanted to let him rest, me and Beauski carved pumpkins for the very first time together. This is the pumpkin that B picked from the patch at Stoney Creek. We didn't do a very good job, but we had a fun time doing it. Beau was really into relocating all the 'insides' of the pumpkin from the 'catch all' bowl to Pa's crockpot that is in our garage from him bringing Ham and Beans over. Man were those awesome. Thanks again, PA!
