December Fun for the Prchals

The Indianapolis Children's Museum

Beau and I visited the
Indianapolis Children's Museum with our friends Katie and Taylor, Beau's girlfriend he calls "Tator." Beau loves to ride the carousel with mommy. He tries to stand up on the horse while being tied to it. I think he may be ready for another real horsey ride over Christmas this year. Tator and Beau both love watching all the trains go in and out of the tunnels at the museum.
Ever since then, when he hears the Polar Express Train (enroute due to Christmas) in Fishers he stops what he's doing and turns to me with his arm up in the air and says "Choo Choo."

Since then: Beau pulled off a glass ornament and smashed it into pieces. Mia pulled off a cloth snowman thus making it her babydoll she carries around half eaten. Mia has also pulled off another glass ornament busting it on the ground. She found out that glass isn't chewed quite as easily as cloth! AND while trying to pull off that ornament she managed to pull/unravel two strands of ribbon from around the tree. Although this seems like alot, i was pleasantly surprised the tree was still standing after that one! We're already doing better than last year!!

Beau is more like his poppa everyday! Over the course of the last two weeks, i have found Beau hiding from me helping himself to a candy cane that he managed to pull off the Christmas Tree. Keep in mind, i put most of them out of reach. Another reason i am shocked our Christmas Tree has been knocked down!!

Beau's First Visit with Santa Claus


Beau and I visited Santa Claus last weekend at The Fishers Town Hall. This was Beau's very first time seeing Santa Claus in person. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect as we climbed the stairs to the Man in Red. As we got to the top step, B looked at Santa with wide eyes. I sat him on his lap and he just looked at Santa with an unknowing face. He didn't cry or try to get down off this lap. Instead, he just stared at Santa as if wondering who he was. It was much more successful that i had anticipated.

He even sat long enough for mommy to join in on the fun.

As you can tell, Potty Training has somewhat started at the Prchal Pad. Beau was constantly going in to his potty and grabbing himself and telling me potty. We have been trying to use the potty when he grabs himself or says potty. So far, we've tinkled in the 'big boy' potty one time. We will keep you updated with progress!
