Funny Stuff

Some pictures of dude's 2nd birthday party. We all had been very sick, so the party was just family and really low-key!

I know i haven't been very good at keeping up on posts lately! I promised Pa i would start posting more for him to see pictures and hear stories about our little stinker Beau.

Over the past few months, since i last posted, Beau had his 2nd birthday. Beau has really come into his own personality lately. He has really started talking and communicating with us and others. He has been talking for a while, but just recently, actually started formulating sentences that are so clear a stranger could decipher what he's saying. Of course, not everything is that clear, but on a whole, his vocalization is AMAZING to Steve and me!!

Since Beau has become such a character, I've decided to start sharing the funnies that he does/says each day!!

Beau: "Ready, Go, Set"

Beau: Sitting in his highchair eating dinner, "Daddy, I want more fruit!"

Beau: Randomly tells me "Grammie, Pa, our house!" I assumed he was telling me he wanted Grammie and Pa to visit!

Beau: "I toot"

Walking in Walmart: Beau to a stranger walking by, "Hi" The stranger didn't acknowledge him. Beau again to stranger louder, "Hi!" The stranger turns around to us laughing and finally says "Hi". I guess he doesn't take No for an answer, huh?!

When Steve got home from work the other day, he played with Beau for a minute in the kitchen and then headed down the hallway towards to bedroom. He called out "Where's my dude?" Beau followed him down the hallway with "I'm Dude!" It was the cutest thing i had ever heard!!

We have been trying to get Beau to use his little potty recently. Of course we have been using the method of bribery in order to accomplish this. Everyone who knows our kid, knows his favorite thing is 'Nandy=Candy'. So, naturally, 'Nandy' is our tool for success! If Beau potties in the potty, he gets 'Nandy'. However, when Beau is finished with his 'Nandy', he stands in the bathroom, pointing up to the nandy jar, screaming "Nandy MORE!" Sounding like 'Nandy MOOOORRREEE', with his lips all duck-like and his nose scrunched up. It is a very familiar sight, Steve says, to his mommy!! I can't disagree!!!!
